SHe Jumps Wild Skills Day

Each year, the BBSP sponsors a Junior Ski Patrol day with the organization She Jumps. This program is put on for young women ages 8-17 to help boost confidence, provide mentorship, and to teach lifelong ski skills. The group of young women learn how to steer a toboggan, administer basic first aid, and many other ski patrol related skills.

Bogus Basin Memorial Sweep

Avalanche Dog Demo Day

Training on the hill is always fun, especially with dogs! The BBSP has had the honor of training with Pro Chandra Llewellyn and her avalanche rescue dog, Neva, as well as her family Corey Rubinfeld (Stevens Pass Patrol) and son, Hawk. They demonstrated handler/dog response to an inbounds slide. Neva dug out the buried skier before they could finished explaining what to look for. Even though Neva’s recently retired, don’t tell her that...she’s still on her game! She worked a number of avalanches in the Cascades (WA) as well as search and rescue.

ACHD Adopt a highway

The BBSP is dedicated to service, inclusive of helping keep the Bogus Basin Road clean! Each year, a group of volunteers participate in cleaning up the BBSP’s section of the Bogus road.
